Our founder
Jeff Thomson started designing databases on CPM/MPM systems in
XBase varitys in the late 1970's and early 1980's, he has programmed
SQL systems ever since the first SQL standard was anounced. He
has has been a popular and respected Database computer science
instructor at the university level for over 11 years. Jeff over-sees
all of our courses and teaches most of them. We have trained personnel
from hundreds of separate businesses and government organizations.

SQL in Postgress/MYSQL
Brief overview of SQL, with understanding querys and getting to
your data. Also installing services and getting basic functionality

SQL Design
Adavanced Database desin with SQL. Database normalization, loseless
design. You will understand speed of access to data vers overall
database size tradeoffs. Issues of Online Transaction Processing "OLTP" vers Desion Suport Support Systems "DSS" are some of the advaced database design issuses covered in this
course.

Microsoft Access
Comprehensive introduction to Microsoft Access. Introduction to
basic normalization of databases on the fith day(5 days) $1,495

Designing Web forms and Databases using MySQL (4 Days) $1,395
- Intro to
Oracle9i and Oracle8i Administartion. This course offers students
an extensive introduction to data server technology.The class
covers the concepts of both relational and object relational databases
and the SQL programming language. Students are taught to create
and maintain database objects and to store, retrieve, and manipulate
data. Students learn to retrieve data by using advanced techniques
such as ROLLUP, CUBE, set operators, and hierarchical retrieval.
They also learn to write SQL and SQL*Plus script files using the
iSQL*Plus tool to generate report-like output.Demonstrations and
hands-on practice reinforce the fundamental concepts.(5 days) $1,895
- Oracle9i
Advanced Database Administration Fundamentals Learn to backup
and to recover your Oracle database. Hands-on workshops give you
experience in a real world technical environment. Improve your
skills with Oracle Recovery Manager. Students learn about transporting
data between databases and the utilities used to perform these
activities. Students are also introduced to networking concepts
and configuration parameters, as well as how to solve some common
network problems. In hands-on exercises, students configure network
parameters so that database clients and tools can communicate
with the Oracle database server.This course also addresses backup
and recovery techniques, and examines various backup, failure,
restore and recovery scenarios. Students also examine backup methodologies
based on business requirements in a mission critical enterprise.
Students use multiple strategies and Oracle Recovery Manager to
perform backups, and restore and recovery operations. This course
includes two interactive workshops that provide participants with
the opportunity to walk through numerous real-world networking,
backup, and recovery case studies. (5 days) $1,895
